History: Brooke & Thorne Get Engaged
Stephanie lost it again in 1999 when Brooke and Thorne became engaged. Stephanie found herself at Big Bear with Brooke and tried to stab her. Thorne stopped her before she did any damage to Brooke but the damage to Stephanie was done. Seeing Brooke and Thorne together weeks later, Stephanie suffered a stroke. Eric, as he so often does, proposed to Stephanie in the hospital and she, as she always does, accepted. They got married in her hospital room with Thorne and Macy as witnesses. After the stroke, Thorne and Brooke kept their relationship on the down low so as not to upset Stephanie’s recovery.
